Work.ua analyzed the salaries offered by employers to job seekers during the year, the factors influencing salary growth, and also learned about the financial satisfaction of employees and business plans to revise salaries in 2023. In the study, analysts processed an array of 218,000 vacancies posted on Work.ua in the period from the II quarter of 2022 to the II quarter of 2023, and considered the change in salaries: in Ukraine in general; in the 10 largest cities of Ukraine; in 9 industries with the largest number of vacancies on Work.ua, among them: "Construction, architecture, interior design" (plus woodworking industry), "Hotel and restaurant business, tourism", "Marketing, advertising, PR", "Medicine and pharmaceuticals", "Services for the population and business", "Retail trade", "Agriculture", "Transport, logistics", "Finance, banking and accounting, audit".
Three indicators are indicated in the salaries indicated in the study: I Phone Number List quartile, median, III quartile. According to salary researchers, these indicators may correspond to the salary of a junior specialist (I quartile), a middle-level specialist (median) and a high-level specialist (III quartile). "Marketing, advertising, PR" - how salaries in the industry have changed The field of marketing is one of those in which salaries have undergone the least changes over the year: according to the I quartile, it increased by 7% — from UAH 14,000 to UAH 15,000; according to the median, it has not changed from year to year and is UAH 20,000; according to the III quartile — by 14%, from UAH 28,000 to UAH 32,000. In this category, there were jumps in wages throFieout the year. In the IV quarter of 2022, salaries by all indicators began to increase, but decreased already in the I quarter of 2023. According to the I and III quartiles, they increased again only in the spring of this year. And the median salaries have not yet returned even to the mark of the end of 2022 — 21,000 hryvnias.
When considering changes in salaries by city, we notice that, unlike other industries and all-Ukrainian indicators, there was mostly a decrease in the salary offered in vacancies. The only city where the salaries of marketers are marked by growth at all levels studied is Kyiv. In most of the remaining cities, one or more indicators are negative, and in Zaporizhzhia, Odesa, and Rivne, they all indicate a year-on-year decrease in wages. In Poltava, the salaries of the I quartile did not change, but the median and the III quartile showed the biggest drop — by 33% and 25%. This may indicate a low demand by employers for "Marketing, Advertising, PR" specialists during martial law compared to specialists in other industries. It is also possible to influence the implementation of artificial intelligence and increase the demand for specialists who work remotely, rather than in physical offices. Changes in salaries in the field of Marketing, advertising, PR Specialists in content creation, advertising and promotion, sales of services and project management are among the ten most in demand in this field.
